Mayor Rodrigo Duterte of Davao City, a presumptive president of the Philippines, stated in an exclusive interview at SMNI Studio with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, “I will replicate what I did to Davao” Duterte said.
The presumptive president is known for enforcing rules of regulations very strictly and below are some of the policies in Davao City that probably might carry out:
- Fireworks Ban – Loud and colorful fireworks might be fun, but not in Davao City. They strictly implement the said policy, especially during the Christmas season and New Year.
- Liquor Ban – In Davao, bars can only serve liquor until 1 AM, once it reached the said time, you could not order for more.
- Curfew – Davao City strictly implements a curfew for minors to make sure their safety.
According to his spokesperson Peter Tiu Lavina, Duterte clarified that curfew is only for minors, which are not accompanied by their guardians. “To make sure our children are in their homes, sleeping and preparing for their next day of school,” Duterte added.
